FAQs
About the Cat Café
😺 what is a cat café?
A cat café is part café, part lounge, and part cat adoption center. There is a cat lounge area housing adoptable cats and a separate café/bar where you can purchase drinks and food.
😸 what do you do at a cat café?
Whatever you want! You can simply go and play with all of the (adoptable) cats, or you can play games, read books, take advantage of our free Wi-Fi, or grab food and a drink. We also host special events such as wine tastings and pairings, yoga with cats, trivia nights, tea parties, ghost story nights, etc.
🚸 are children allowed?
Children ages 5 and up are allowed in the cat lounge with adult supervision, with the exception of “Adult Swim” hours on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday evenings from 6-close. Children under age 5 are not allowed in the cat room to ensure the safety of the children and the cats. All ages are welcome in the café downstairs.
There must be one adult per two children.
Only 4 children ages 5-12 are permitted in the cat lounge at once.
Thursday, Friday, and Saturday from 6-close is ages 18+ only.
💻 Are day or monthly passes available? What is included?
Yes! Day Passes and Monthly Passes can be booked via the “Book Your Visit” button at the top of the page.
Day Passes allow you to come and go during business hours for the day you purchased. You can stay for as long as you want, and you are free to leave and come back later in the day! *Please note, we do not sell day passes for weekend days due to limited capacity.
Monthly Passes allow you to come and go during business hours for 30 days, beginning at the first visit after purchase. If you have a monthly pass and are interested in a special event, please reach out and we can give you details. **If you plan to come in on a weekend, we recommend calling ahead so we can add you to the head count. We leave extra spaces open each hour for our monthly passers, but we can’t always accommodate all monthly passers at once.
Free Wi-Fi is available if you want to work from the cafe or lounge!
🤧 what if my significant other wants to come but i’m allergic to cats?
Many people have cat allergies but we have options! For example, if you wish to visit Mount Purrnon with another person or a group but are allergic, you can relax in our colonial-themed café area which is separated from the cats.
This part of the building has comfortable seating, access to food and drink, and the restroom. This area also has a separate entrance in the rear of the building so there is no need to walk through the cat area if undesired.
